Expecting the worst

Many say to plan for the worst and hope for the best. I can honestly say that I am guilty Plan-For-The-Worst-512x679of thinking this way. It seems like a nice thought at first and rational to plan for the worst so that you do not get your hopes up. However, many times preparing for the worst turns into expecting the worst.

The problem with this type of thinking is that it attracts the negative rather than the positive. We get to caught up in trying to predict the future and guard our hearts and egos that we literally manifest what we are afraid of.

Planning for the worst and hoping for the best only causes you to consider all the ways life will go wrong and against you. If you could spend more time focusing on the hope and what you want to happen rather than the fear of what may happen you will begin to attract more positive outcomes.

It is smart to be prepared and rational, but don’t focus on it. Focus on the hope and the positive. By shifting your thinking, you will find that you will be happier despite not getting the result you wanted because you did not spend all your energy worrying about it before it even happened. If you can hope for the best, you can then begin to expect the best rather than the worst.
