Most people spend their life looking for stability. They either want more of it or less of it. Those with too much stability want to let go and find adventures, while those who have adventures want stability to keep them grounded.
Life is a tightrope walk trying to balance excitement and experiences with routine and stability. The key is finding a balance that works for you. For me, I need just enough stability to keep me safe and from falling, but not enough to suffocate me.
Some people want a life with lots of structure and boundaries, but there is a level of adventure everyone craves. Adventures may be traveling more, going back to school, starting your own business or starting a family. However big or small, adventures make stability feel like home rather than prison.
Finding a balance between work and play is the most rewarding thing you can do for yourself. It is not always easy and does not always come natural, but you will thank yourself in the future. Stability is the glue that holds your dreams together. Remember not to let the glue overpower your dreams and vice versa.
