How much time do you spend on your self? How much self-care do you include in your Self-Care-Movementdaily routine? If you answered zero for these questions, I would like to ask you to consider making self-care a priority in your life.

Self-care does not have to take tons of time. We are only talking 10-15 minutes a day, but if you have time for more, that is great too! Self-care is something you do just for you and just for the sake of making you feel good. This is not taking a shower, drinking water, or sleeping. I am talking about intentional things you do not necessarily need to do to survive.

Here are some examples of self-care:

  1. Reading a chapter in a book you enjoy.
  2. Singing.
  3. Taking a short walk.
  4. Meditating.
  5. Exercising.
  6. Playing with animals/ pets.
  7. Writing/ Journaling.
  8. Painting your nails.
  9. Coloring or drawing.
  10. Sitting in the sunshine.

Whatever you choose to do, make sure it is a source of stress relief, not a source of stress. If it makes you anxious, it is not self-care. Adding these activities into your daily life will not only help you to feel better but will increase your mood and productivity. Give yourself the break you deserve!
